“In my treatment rooms, I have music playing,” says Seth Matarasso, M.D., clinical professor of dermatology at University of California School of Medicine, San Francisco. “It’s not overpowering. It’s just sort of background or white noise. I find that [for] patients who are anxious about having a procedure done, it calms them down and gives them something to focus on. If you’re running late, music gives them something to occupy their mind, so they’re not so preoccupied with your tardiness.” Read more at Dermatology Times.
