About AmSpa

The Academy of Injection Anatomy (AIA) is the gold standard for injection-relevant instruction. Created by Dr. Chris Surek, AIA fills in the gaps left by other anatomy training by providing hands-on experience injecting and dissecting cadavers to gain a 3-D understanding of facial structures and how to avoid common complications.

The Medical Spa Boot Camp eases the transition from clinician to business owner by providing practical advice on issues like legal compliance, financial structure, inventory management, and marketing. Also, attendees get the opportunity to start building partnerships with industry leaders and top brands in attendance.

Members of the American Med Spa Association include aesthetic professionals from every state and at every stage of their career. AmSpa was founded by Alex R. Thiersch, JD, who, when practicing as a health care attorney, identified the need for an organization that focused on the legal and compliance issues of the newly evolving medical spa and medical aesthetic industry.

Addressing legal issues and compliance is still its cornerstone, but AmSpa has become a multi-faceted national organization for the medical spa industry. In recent years, it has introduced a variety of clinical training options to go along with its established business-related events, with the goal of continuing to develop new products and services to meet the needs of the entire medical aesthetics industry and provide AmSpa Members benefits that simply can’t be found anywhere else.

AmSpa is a for-profit LLC that strongly believes in its mission to help its members, who include medical spa owners, entrepreneurs and physicians, operate both legally and profitably.
