Sonya Ellis began in nursing in 1998. She is one of only two nurses in the state of Texas certified in both Aesthetics but Plastic Surgery. Starting the L.A.B. Med Spa with her husband Stephen Ellis, MD, she performs around 50K procedures a year while still finding time to educate and volunteer.
Experience matters. We need to know how to respond when something unexpected happens and remain confident in our clinical judgment. Aesthetics may be the specialty we choose, but we are nurses first and aesthetic nurses second. That foundation makes us safer, stronger providers.
