Smooth Skin

November 29, 2016

Sun damage. Aging. Acne. Any one of these can be blamed for rough and irregular skin texture. Unfortunately, that means skin looks older than its years and applying makeup evenly can be difficult. But simply pointing the finger won’t return your skin to the soft and smooth canvas it once was. Instead, Julius Few, M.D., founder of The Few Institute and Few Institute Skin Clinic (Chicago), has solutions to help restore skin in a snap:
Dermaplane Away
Sometimes all clients need is to shave their way to smoother skin. Dermaplaning is a safe and simple treatment that removes the outermost layer of facial skin (dead skin cells) and fine vellus hair (peach fuzz). During treatment, we use a sterile blade to gently exfoliate away rough skin, dry skin, superficial hyperpigmentation, mild acne scarring, and fine lines and wrinkles. Results are immediate: clear, smooth, glowing skin!
