Prominent New York Hospital Fined $201,000 by OSHA

An anonymous tip from an employee has resulted in New York Presbyterian-Columbia University Medical Center being hit with $201,000 in OSHA fines last Friday for exposing maintenance staff to potentially infected linen.
Workers wound up handling broken laundry bags filled with bedsheets and towels that contained blood and bodily fluids, according to the Occupational Safety & Health Administration. Read the full article.
