Illinois Governor Signs Bill Granting Nurse Practitioners Full Practice Authority

Earlier this summer AmSpa reported that the Illinois General Assembly passed a bill granting APRNs full practice authority. Governor Rauner signed the bill late last week, which means that once the revised Illinois Nurse Practice Act goes into effect on January 1, 2018 nurse practitioners in the state will officially have much more autonomy in what they can do.
