Fresh Clinics Acquires Spakinect
Fresh Clinics has acquired Spakinect, bringing together two companies that provide clinical and compliance services to independent medical spas. The acquisition is backed by existing Fresh Clinics investor Ellerston Capital. Financial terms were not disclosed in the announcement.
Under the acquisition, Fresh Clinics and Spakinect will continue to operate as separate brands under their existing leadership teams. Paulina Riedler, RN, and Alain Gazaui will remain with Spakinect to lead its team and operations, while its nurse practitioners will continue to be directly employed as W-2 employees.
Spakinect, founded in 2012, provides telehealth Good Faith Exams and compliance services for medical spas. According to the company announcement, its network covers more than 170 treatments across 40 states and has completed more than 1.56 million Good Faith Exams.
Fresh Clinics was founded in 2018 by John Holbrook, MD, and John Delaney, MD, and provides services for independent aesthetic practices including clinical oversight, compliance infrastructure, product supply and professional development.
The companies said Spakinect’s existing integrations with Zenoti, Boulevard and Aesthetic Record will remain in place. Spakinect members will also be able to access services offered by Fresh Clinics, including medical directorship, product supply and clinical training.
The acquisition combines Spakinect’s Good Faith Exam and provider network with Fresh Clinics’ services in medical directorship, clinical training and product supply. According to the announcement, existing Spakinect members will retain their current contacts and services as the businesses continue operating under their respective brands.
