Father of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Ivo Pitanguy, Dies at 93

The field of plastic surgery has lost a legend. Brazilian plastic surgeon Dr. Ivo Pitanguy, 93, passed away just days after carrying the Olympic torch in Rio to light the flame for the opening ceremony of the Games.Dr. Pitanguy was widely considered to be the father of modern day plastic surgery, and sired the Brazilian butt lift.
