Georgia Medical Board to Discuss IV Therapy Position Statement

The Georgia Composite Medical Board has announced that they will discuss and review their new IV Hydration/Therapy Position Statement at the upcoming June 4th Board meeting.

The position statement covers topics related to offering IV therapy services and the ownership and supervision requirement of these types of businesses. The Board’s announcement states that this statement was intended to provide preliminary guidance on this subject including issues related to APRNs and their delegating physicians. The Board notes that it may issue additional guidance, provide clarification, or other updates as a result of this upcoming discussion.
