A Queens man is accused of performing unlicensed cosmetic medical procedures that police say left one woman in the hospital. He was arrested last Friday by New York police at JFK airport with a ticket to Colombia.

The man pleaded not guilty to charges including second-degree assault and unauthorized practice of profession.

Police say a 31-year-old woman went to his house last Friday to have her butt implants removed, then suffered a cardiac arrest after he allegedly injected her with lidocaine.

As of Thursday, The Independent reports that the woman is currently intubated without any brain activity and that her care team told police she is likely suffering from lidocaine toxicity.

The makeshift medical procedures allegedly took place at the man’s Astoria apartment, “operating as a medical office with medical exam table, cosmetic injectable syringes, exam lights,” according to a partial vacate order.
