- Set Revenue Goals - A budget will help you set revenue goals. We’ll talk about how you start with revenue drivers (revenue per hour per provider, provider hours worked) to actually set monthly revenue goals instead of just guessing.
- Plan for Expenses - Some expenses are the same each month. Some vary based on how much revenue you’re generating. We’ll show you how to use your historical financials to estimate your expenses.
- Create a Path - After your set your revenue expectations and then estimate your expenses, the real benefit to your budget is apparent. The task of building your budget will leave you with a clear financial plan for your practice, which will serve as your guide in making business decisions throughout the year.
- Closing - Once you have your budget, don’t throw it in a drawer and forget about it. Compare your actual results to your budget. See where you were right. See what you should tweak. Are you meeting your goals?
